HPCwire Unveils Honorees for its 2022 People to Watch

SAN DIEGO, CA — March 28, 2022 – HPCwire, the leading publication for news and information for the high performance computing industry, today unveiled its People to Watch for 2022. This feature highlights key community members who are driving the industry forward, people you should be keeping an eye on in the year to come.

HPCwire honors a dozen individuals in 2022, the 20th anniversary of the People to Watch program. Technology grows increasingly complex, and these 12 people rise to the challenge, ushering in boundary-pushing advances in healthcare, medicine, agriculture, and energy that expand the frontiers of science and technology. The work that our 2022 group of honorees is involved with, while diverse and focusing on different areas of emerging technologies, is united in its quest to benefit humanity by addressing grand-scale challenges.

“Each year, our editorial board engages in a rigorous review process to identify the HPC professionals who are stepping up, standing out, and making a difference,” said HPCwire Managing Editor Tiffany Trader. “From scores of worthy candidates, we select the final dozen honorees. And this year, those honorees hail from leadership HPC centers, innovative technology companies, and community-led projects. These are the science, engineering, and industry professionals who will be shaping our world for years to come, and it is an honor to celebrate them as People to Watch.”

“This year also marks the 20th anniversary of our People to Watch program,” Trader added. “Over the course of the program, HPCwire has recognized nearly 200 HPC luminaries who have gone on to achieve extraordinary things. We continue to celebrate those past honorees and look forward to their continued influence in the field.”
