Job Description
The Department of Biomedical Informatics at the Ohio State University is
currently inviting applications for postdoctoral positions. The primary
areas of interest include, but not limited to:
Databases and data-intensive computing
High-performance and Grid computing systems
Knowledge integration systems
Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in computer science or a related
discipline and strong background in high-performance and distributed
systems. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Ohio
Supercomputer Center. The postdoctoral researcher will be expected to
actively participate in all aspects of research and help in supervising
graduate research assistants in their research projects. The postdoctoral
candidate should have the ability to work as a team and collaborate with a
multi-disciplinary group of researchers. The initial appointment will be
for one year, with the position renewable. At the end of two years,
postdoctoral researchers will have the opportunity to be evaluated for a
tenure track position in the Biomedical Informatics Department.

research, a research statement, a list of publications, copies of two
