The Computer Science and Mathematics Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory seeks to hire Senior Unix Systems Programmer. Position provides system administration/ programming support for IBM, Compaq, SGI, and Linux cluster parallel computers in the Center for Computational Sciences, which offers 5.5 TFlops of peak computing to user community. Primary servers: two IBM RS/6000 SP systems running AIX, a Compaq AlphaServer SC running Tru64, an SGI Origin 2000 running Irix, and a Pentium IV cluster running Linux. Extensive experience needed either administering a modern Unix operating system in a complex environment or developing and maintaining a large complex application written in C in a Unix environment and must have programming experience with C. Requires BS/MS in computer science (or equivalent education and experience). Areas of interest should be batch, kerberos, Grid, ssh, and global filesystems (like AFS or DFS).
