Application Analyst

The CSCS is currently seeking and Application Analyst to complete its benchmarking and development group. This position will include responsibilities such as the evaluation of current and emerging HPC architectures as well as optimization and parallelization work on different HPC platforms. The ideal applicant will have practical experience and knowledge of massively parallel and/ or vector computing, scientific codes optimization, MPI/ Open MP parallelization techniques, Fortran 90, C and C ++ programming languages as well as numerical methods and libraries. The candidates must be familiar with working in a research environment and have excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently or in a team. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; knowledge of Italian, German or French would be an additional asset.
