Associate Director, Information Technologies

As a key member of the management team, serve as the Associate Director, Information Technology for internationally-renowned, 50-person, $15M/yr., high performance computing and computational science center. Provide management and leadership for a service, outreach and R&D organization in support of world-class faculty computational science research across the entire University. Serve as a backup for the Director, Information Technology in all capacities.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or other field involving scientific computation required. M.S. in these areas desirable. 7-10 years experience in computer related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional certification (MCP, MCSA, MCSE or similar) useful. Previous work in industry, a national laboratory or center desirable. Significant experience interacting with academic, industrial, and government users of technical computing required. Experience providing production access to leading edge, production high performance computing desirable. Project management experience, including use of project management tools, valuable.

Position is located in Manhattan. Some travel to Ithaca Campus required.
