Foundry Network Installer / Network Engineer Japan ConsultNet - #901D
This is a long-term assignment located in Okinawa, Japan. We are looking
for a team of engineers with varying skill levels for a large-scale
implementation. You will be supporting all network activities design,
configuration and installation of Foundry and Cisco switches and routers.
Firewall configuration, installations and support. Network sniffer tracing
and problem diagnosis. The candidate will be working with Cisco and
Foundry products to ensure all goals in conjunction with implementing the
network to ensure a proper infrastructure configuration and optimization.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate is responsible for the quality,
consistency (uptime) and security on a 24X7 basis. This is an excellent
opportunity for anyone wishing to increase his or her technical, personal
and professional skills.
Required Skills:
Foundry and Cisco Routers and Switches (Gateway/Core/Admin)
Strong Security Background (VPN, Firewalls, Pen Testing, Security Auditing)
Extensive knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, IOS, TCP/IP) and
extensive experience with IDS; Knowledge of the IP protocol suite and the
associated routing issues; Working knowledge of Network General Sniffer
and/or other protocol capture and decode analyzers and applications;
Experience with the Cisco IOS to include configuration and troubleshooting
of interfaces and protocols; Foundry Certified a plus; CCNA certification
a plus; MCSE Certification a major plus; Past military (USAF) experience a
plus; Must have or be able to obtain Secret Security clearance
