Job Description

Design, model, simulate, implement, sustain, document, and write digital control system firmware for an advanced tape drive. The Candidate will interface with other disciplines to attain requirements for design or to gain data for failure analysis. Work in a cooperative team environment with other servo and firmware engineers on the same code base. Perform root cause code failure analysis using real-time embedded development tools.

Experience Requirements

Requires in-depth knowledge of "C" language programming and familiarity with assembly language programming. In-depth knowledge of traditional and modern digital control theory is also required. Experience using software engineering methodologies is a must. Five years of digital control firmware programming experience with successful products is preferred. Five years related industry experience required.

Education Requirements

BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent computer related degree.
