About the group: Networking & Internet Software Group (NISG) at C-DAC Pune
is engaged in design, development and delivery of futuristic Networking
and Internet Technologies. In line with this charter, since its inception,
NISG has been looking into emerging Networking & Internet areas.
Out of many areas currently pursued by NISG, few to be named are Network
Security and 802.11 Wireless Networks also called as Wi-Fi Networks,
Networking and Network Security related R&D issues in Grid Computing. In
802.11 Wireless Networking, Centre of Excellence for Wi-Fi Technologies
has been set up in NISG. NISG is also actively looking into other emerging
areas of national and strategic importance. NISG has developed
institutional linkages with academic and industry organizations in India
and abroad.
Qualifications: Ph.D / M.Tech. / M.E. / B. Tech. / B.E degree in Computer
Technology /Science / Engineering or equivalent in Electronics and
Telecommunications
You should:
Possess 2+ years of industry experience in product/software development in
areas of the Networking and Internet; Internet and network security
software development; software development for 802.11 wireless networks;
protocols, tools and applications; Experience in Network device drivers
under Unix/ Linux and NT; Porting and enhancement of TCP/IP protocol stack
and socket programming; Exposure to Unix and NT internals; LAN / WAN
technologies; Networking and Internet protocols; 802.11 wireless
networking, Firewalls and routing; kernel level programming and Embedded
Linux software development.
Have exposure to Object Oriented Design and programming and configuration
management tools.
Possess excellent programming skills in C/ C++, VC++/Java under Unix /
Linux and Windows platforms.
Have excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills.
You should be self motivated, highly enthusiastic individual who gets
charged up by working in advanced, emerging and futuristic technologies in
an intellectually stimulating environment.
