DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

Consultant will be responsible for designing, installing, configuring, administering and supporting enterprise-class data backup infrastructure built around VERITAS NetBackup software and StorageTek tape drive and automated tape library technologies. Responsibilities also include all aspects of the daily operations, system installation, configuration, and trouble-shooting hardware and software problems in a SAN backup environment. UNIX experience is a preferable and recommended.

SKILLS REQUIRED AND ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree. Four or more years of experience in VERITAS NetBackup software. Strong knowledge and experience in WindowsNT/2000, SUN Solaris Systems, (SUN Solaris Certified). Strong experience in designing and implementing data backup environment utilizing VERITAS NetBackup and Storage Tek tape drives and automated tape libraries. Strong abilities to developing, implementing and enhancing disater recovery. Strong abilities in trouble-shooting data backup related problems. Strong knowledge and experience in TCP/IP and computer inter-networking. Strong experience in enhancing performance of existing data backup environments. Strong knowledge and experience in mplementing SAN-based data backup environmets. Strong knowledge and experience in electronic data vaulting techniques. Strong communication skills.

DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Good Knowledge of performance and tuning, which includes capacity planning for large data backup environments. Good Knowledge in latest data backup techniques and technologies including Server-Less and LAN-Free.
