Senior Field Applications Engineer (posted 9.9.03)
Alacritech is searching for a Senior Field Applications Engineer who will
be responsible for the successful technical implementation of company's
products. The individual will be a highly motivated self starter who wants
to be a key contributor at the next great technology company.
The Field Applications Engineer, reporting to the Western Area Sales
Director, will liaise with Alacritech's OEMs, Resellers, and End Users
which include HP, Dell, Apple, Sun Microsystems, Microsoft, Boeing, WAMU
and the US Federal Reserve.
The Field Applications Engineer will lead in the implementations that
affect the functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and
supportability of Alacritech's various products. The Engineer will provide
effective and responsive technical assistance to external customers,
escalating issues to Alacritech's engineering and management teams where
appropriate.
The Field Applications Engineer will act as a product specialist and
technical lead delivering training to their accounts as well as championing
complex technical issues through to resolution. The Engineer will also keep
abreast of industry technical and product developments and comment on the
viability of product introduction and support plans.
This position has an estimated travel of 20% to 30%.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Computer Science or EE bachelors degree plus ten (10) years relevant experience
