Position Summary
Storage Resource Administrators maintain Acxiom's large-scale technical
storage resources. They ensure satisfactory data storage resources,
capacity, and management. Acxiom is seeking a highly experienced storage
administrator to support a large, high availability environment utilizing
distributed file systems. Requires in depth knowledge of Linux and Unix OS.
Job role consists of supporting SAN, NAS, DAS, and other storage systems to
function with Unix (Tru64, Sun, HP), Linux, Windows, and grid technologies.
Ensuring efficiency and performance of storage using SRM and SAM
methodologies is a primary focus. Functions include administration,
configuration, analysis, utilization reporting, consulting, backup
implementation and scripting. Storage Administrator interfaces with system
administrators, capacity planners and storage architects to implement new
technologies.
Required Skills
3-5 years configuration experience with distrubuted and network file
systems in association with industry storage solutions used in SAN, NAS,
and DAS configurations. 3-5 years SAN implementation and support
experience, including configuration and management of switches/directors
and RAID storage. 3-5 years experience with storage management tools, such
as those used for replication, reporting, data migration, and
backup/archival Technology comparitive analysis skills System
Administration experience with Linux, various Unix and Windows operating
systems and commands Motivated and self directed. Perl scripting or
comparable. Willing to work within a team-based environment and to share
knowledge Problem diagnoses and vendor interaction for problem resolution.

Additional programming/scripting skills for developing storage mgmt
applications Network configuration knowledge Basic database administration
(Oracle or SQL) Business Continuance or Disaster Recovery - (specifically
related to data backup and recovery) Project Management skills Additional
