41 Organizations and Individuals Cited for Their Contributions and Achievements
TAMPA, FL. -- HPCwire, the leading source for global news and information covering the ecosystem of High Productivity Computing, today revealed the winners of HPCwire’s annual Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards at the 19th annual Supercomputing Conference, SC06, in Tampa, Florida.
HPCwire has designated two categories of Awards: (1) Readers' Choice, where winners have been determined by a random poll of a sample of HPCwire readers, and (2) Editors' Choice, where winners have been determined by votes of a panel of recognized HPC luminaries, and contributing editors from industry. These awards are widely recognized as prestigious recognition from the global HPC community for outstanding products, technologies, and individual achievements.
"Once again, HPCwire is proud to serve as the voice of the global HPC community as we present the 2006 Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards,” said Tom Tabor, publisher of HPCwire. “This year, the collective nominations from our readers, contributing editors and industry luminaries place more emphasis on recognition of leading end-user organizations for their innovative application of HPC technology and products in their business operations. This is also the first year we have announced the publication’s picks for the “Top 5 Companies to Watch” in 2007, a topic sure to spawn much discussion. HPCwire is honored to be the voice of the evolving and expanding HPC ecosystem.”
