SAN DIEGO, CA – April 19, 2011 -- Tabor Communications Inc., (TCI) publisher of HPCwire and a leading international media, advertising, and communications company, and the TeraGrid '11: Extreme Digital Discovery conference have entered into a new co-marketing agreement for 2011.
The TeraGrid 2011 conference will showcase the capabilities, achievements, and impact of the TeraGrid (www.teragrid.org) in research and education and will mark the beginning of the National Science Foundation's eXtreme Digital Resources for Science and Engineering program.
"We are extremely pleased to be supporting the TeraGrid '11 conference this year," said Jeff Hyman, President and Publisher, HPCwire. "One of our goals for HPCwire has been to strengthen our relationships within the HPC community by supporting valuable academic programs like the TeraGrid project. By working together with organizations such as TeraGrid, we are taking the first steps to what we believe will become long and enduring partnerships."
The agreement names HPCwire as a Primary Media Sponsor for TeraGrid '11, including full editorial privileges for reporting on the conference. The agreement also allows HPCwire the opportunity for communication outreach and promotion in advance of this year's conference, in order to help expand awareness of the project, its importance, and to garner additional support from its thousands of readers and subscribers worldwide.
"Having the support and expertise of a leading communications channel to the HPC community is a tremendous asset," said John Towns, general chair of TeraGrid '11 and TeraGrid Forum Chair. "We believe that having HPCwire as a partner will enable us to expand awareness of the project to the global HPC academic community."
