Tabor Communications Launches New HPC Summit, Online Community

News Release: Tabor Communications

HPC Horizons to Kick Off March 11, 2008 at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa in Palm Springs, California

SAN DIEGO -- November 13, 2007 -- Tabor Communications, Inc., a leading international media, research, market intelligence, and communications company providing information, insight and influence for high productivity communities, today announced HPC Horizons, a new global community dedicated to advancing the usage of High Productivity Computing (HPC).

HPC Horizons will kick off with an inaugural event to foster an executive thought-leadership discussion of threshold applications at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa, Palm Springs, California on March 11-13, 2008.

Leveraging the editorial leadership and global reach of HPCwire, the foundation of HPC Horizons is an unprecedented online community supported by collaboration tools and premium content, including regular hosted online forums, podcasts and webinars, exclusive interviews with industry leaders, early access to special research report summaries, and a capstone annual face to face executive summit.

“HPC Horizons has been designed as a community forum that links a select set of business and technology leaders throughout the year, supporting a broad, open dialogue as well as close confidential discussions among the community members,” said Debra Goldfarb, CEO of Tabor Communications.

“HPC Horizons members will benefit from our new online infrastructure, enabling peer-to-peer access to the global thought leaders and industry executives who are defining the “new norms” of information technology,” said Diane Lieberman, vice president and general manager of Tabor Publications and Events and publisher of HPCwire. “At the same time, the opportunity for real-time interaction with HPC Horizons community members – both face to face and online -- will provide a one-of-a-kind opportunity for sponsors to reach and engage with traditional and non-traditional business and technology leaders who are shaping the direction of high productivity computing requirements. We’ve seen tremendous support among the leading HPC vendors and to-date we have sponsorship commitments from IBM and SGI, at the Platinum level, as well as Intel, Dell, Mellanox, Appro, SiCortex, Linux Networx, Cray and Mercury Computer Systems.”
