NASA SGI SUPERCOMPUTER: WORLD'S SECOND BEST SUPERCOMPUTER
- Screaming past Japan's venerable Earth Simulator and 498 of the
world's 500 most powerful systems, NASA's 10,240-processor Columbia
supercomputer, built from 20 SGI Altix systems, seized the second
position in the latest roster of the world's top 500 supercomputers.

- Microway showcased its Quadputer-Navion high-end server at SC2004.
Running either SUSE Linux or Microsoft Windows Server 2003, the
platform is ideal for 64-bit compute-intensive applications including
CFD, FEA and Oracle.

- Panasas announced the next generation of the Panasas Storage Cluster
Platform, enabling customers to further maximize the benefits of Linux

SARA COMPUTING AND NETWORKING SERVICES SELECTS TOPSPIN
- Topspin Communications announced that Netherlands-based SARA Computing
and Networking Services have successfully deployed Topspin's
