- Red Storm will be faster, yet smaller and less expensive, than previous
supercomputers, say researchers at the National Nuclear Security

in space exploration, global warming research, and aerospace
engineering.

- Using a cluster of 36 Apple Xserve G5s, University College Santa Cruz
will be able to process complicated computer science problems in a much
easier manner.

- Isilon Systems announced test results that determined Isilon IQ
delivers more than 2GB per second of throughput from a single file
system and storage cluster -- the first clustered network storage
solution to deliver performance at this level.

SCUDERIA FERRARI MARLBORO, AMD IMPLEMENT SERVER CLUSTER
- AMD announced that Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, the Formula One racing
team, has implemented a server cluster based on the AMD Opteron
processor with Direct Connect Architecture in order to advance its
essential aerodynamic research and development.
