REVITALIZING HECRTF: A FOCUSED PLAN FOR HIGH-END COMPUTING
- Commentary from the High-End Crusader
The High-End Crusader praises parts of the HECRTF report but finds it
lacking in financial commitment, a sense of urgency, and a focused
research agenda. Contrasting HECRTF blandness with the clarity and
vision in two previous reports, and focusing on the concept of balanced
high-bandwidth system, he offers some suggestions for improvement.

Quote of the Week:
"Observations of extrasolar planets as precise and compelling as
those of Venus will not happen in my lifetime or that of my
children. What we can see on Venus today previews what will be
seen on far distant planets long after I'm gone. You could say
it's cheating on time."
