Gaughan is responsible for leading AMR's coverage of strategic infrastructure technologies, including application servers and systems management technology.

Derrington is an expert in assessment, design and selection of storage and storage management technologies, including storage area networks, network attached storage, fibre channel, backup/recovery, storage resource management, disk subsystems and storage monitoring technologies and processes. He also is knowledgeable in emerging storage technologies. Prior to joining Appergy, Derrington was senior program director for Meta Group's Server Infrastructure Strategies practice. During his eight years there, he was the lead consultant and analyst covering storage and storage management.

Farley is author of Building Storage Networks, a book many have called the "Bible" of storage networking. His experience covers all aspects of the network storage industry, including software, storage hardware and networking systems. He began his career in network storage in 1991 at Palindrome Corp., a LAN backup and recovery software company. Farley has also worked at Hitachi Data Systems, Crossroads Systems, ConvergeNet and SANcastle Technologies. His roles have included systems engineer, product manager, technology strategist and marketing executive.

Fisch brings more than seven years of experience in the computer industry working in sales, market analysis and positioning, and engineering. He worked at EMC Corp. as a marketing program manager focused on service providers and as a competitive market analyst. Before that, he worked in international channel development, manufacturing and technical support at Extended Systems Inc.

Webster is responsible for directing Data Mobility Group's ongoing research and analysis in data and storage management. Prior to founding Data Mobility Group, he was senior analyst and IT advisor for Illuminata Inc., where he established and developed the company's storage-related market research and analysis practice. Prior to Illuminata, Webster was VP of marketing for Storage Computer Corp., director of computing research at the Yankee Group and senior analyst at the Clipper Group and International Data Corp.

McAdam is responsible for Data Mobility Group's research and advisory services for topics such as replication technology, business continuance and networked storage. With more than three decades as a data center director, educator, technical programmer, systems engineer and manager for industry-leading vendors, she brings practical hands-on experience to the consulting table, as well as broad market perspectives. McAdam is particularly well versed in disk and tape issues and how they can be deployed for effective data mobility, disaster recovery, and business continuity. Prior to joining Data Mobility Group, she led the information logistics practice at Illuminata. Before that, she was a senior client analyst on enterprise storage at EMC and a technical presentation specialist at EMC's Executive Briefing Center. At Hitachi Data Systems, she served as performance and capacity planning systems engineer for mainframe environments and as a systems engineering manager. She also worked at StorageTek as a virtual tape and disk specialist; at Sun Microsystems, as an enterprise storage specialist; and at several large corporations as technical services directors.

Martins brings a decade of engineering, product management, business development and customer support experience to Data Mobility Group. He is responsible for all areas of the company's business, including expanding existing client relationships, overseeing new business development efforts, and setting the overall tone and direction of the company. Martins began his career as a systems software engineer at Lockheed Martin, the world's second-largest aerospace and defense firm, and later at General Dynamics. He also was a key contributor to the early-stage growth of three successful enterprise content management companies in the defense, healthcare and publishing industries. Prior to Data Mobility Group, he was business development director for research firm Illuminata.

Duplessie founded ESG in 1999. He is recognized worldwide as a leading independent authority on enterprise storage. Prior to founding ESG, he was founder and CEO of Invincible Technologies Corp., a manufacturer of fault-tolerant NAS systems. Prior to ITC, he held positions at Clearpoint Research and EMC Corp.

Hurley manages analyst activities across the organization and serves as the primary analyst for Enterprise Storage Management and Storage Infrastructure solutions. She is a seasoned sales and marketing executive, with over 18 years experience in the storage, communications, and networking and computer industries. Prior to ESG, Hurley served as worldwide strategic planning manager for Tektronix Communications' Test Group, where she drove the strategic direction for multiple product lines across the globe. Previously, she was with Hewlett Packard for 10 years in various senior sales and marketing positions, supporting global enterprise and telecommunications customers. She also held a digital design engineer position for a division of Lockheed/Martin.

Oltsik covers information security, storage service providers and WAN-based storage technologies. Prior to joining ESG, he was founder and principal of Hype-Free Consulting. Oltsik previously served as VP of marketing & strategy at GiantLoop Network, where he managed all external marketing activities and defined the company's strategic vision. Oltsik was also a senior analyst at Forrester Research and has held marketing management positions at Epoch Systems, Clearpoint Research and EMC Corp.

He joined ESG in 2000 and is responsible for corporate operations while maintaining a presence in all practice areas. Prior to joining ESG, Prigmore served as general manager of Berkshire Computer Products, a regional systems-integrator focused on storage and data protection. He also held product marketing, product management, and sales roles at Clearpoint Research and EMC Corp.

As a member of Forrester's Computing Systems team, Schreck researches networking, storage and processing technologies and their effects on business. He came to Forrester from 3Com, where he was business manager for a line of WAN and VPN solutions. Prior to 3Com, Schreck was with PricewaterhouseCoopers' Management Consulting Services, where he specialized in networking, security and high-end computing.

Nick Allen is a vice president and research director in Gartner's research organization. Prior to joining the company, he was a senior management consultant with International Systems Services. He has more than 30 years of experience in IT.

Before joining Gartner, Paquet was director of product management and marketing at Cereva Networks. He also has served as a principal consultant with Onsett International, where he provided strategic IT planning to Fortune 100 companies.

Scannell is a co-founder and oversees the delivery of consulting and services to clients in North America, with responsibility for managing Regional Managers and their teams of consultants.

Preston is the author of the books Using SANs and NAS, Unix Backup & Recovery and Storage Security Handbook. He has been working with backup and recovery systems for more than 12 years. He has now begun work on his fourth book, Practical Data Protection.

Borovick is the program director for IDC's Datacenter Networks program. In this position, she provides market analysis, research and consulting on the datacenter. Borovick has over 16 years of experience in the information technology industry with IDC. Throughout this time, she has maintained a focus on researching and analyzing datacenter networking trends, technologies, products, suppliers and user adoption strategies. She has particular expertise on key technical and business issues concerning optimizing server connectivity and the integration of Web technology into the datacenter.

Gray is responsible for the research agenda on storage subsystems, storage management and subsystem architecture. He executes and oversees market and technological forecasting in this area and consults regularly on tactical and strategic product and market issues. With more than 25 years of computer industry experience with leading equipment suppliers, storage systems suppliers value his insights, advice and market data for identifying and leveraging investments to produce more sales and increase margins. Gray's technological expertise includes fibre channel, network attached storage, storage area networks/clusters and RAID.

McArthur manages a worldwide team of some 80 analysts. His analysts provide insight and analysis for IT professionals, investors, resellers, distributors and manufacturers. The team focuses on the capture, storage, management and output of information, and covers technologies including digital cameras and scanners, storage hardware (disk, tape, and optical), storage management software and services, records management software, printers and multi-function peripherals.

Reinsel is program director of IDC's storage research. He provides insight and analysis for IT professionals, investors, reseller, distributors and manufacturers. His research team is responsible for delivering forecasts and analyses on disk storage systems and hard disk drives and component technologies, as well as for providing quarterly tracking and analysis on numerous metrics related to these same markets.

Freund focuses on server technology, storage and application server issues. He has over 20 years of IT experience and covers the technologies, trends and strategies critical to building, deploying, and managing enterprise platforms and applications, including server and storage architectures, virtualization, clustering, operating systems, file systems and middleware. Prior to joining Illuminata, Freund directed product management for Winchester Systems Inc. and Fortel Inc., was a strategic and technical advisor to multinational server manufacturers and held senior engineering and management positions for Compaq operating system, clustering, and enterprise management products.

Dawson is a leading authority on Linux, Unix and Windows infrastructure platforms with end-to-end high availability, robust clustering, and partitioning capability. He also specializes in enterprise storage and server strategies and selection. Prior to joining Meta Group, he was competitive market research manager for Sequent Computer Systems, Europe. In this role, he worked within product marketing to help develop Unix/NT integration strategies and the introduction of Intel IA32/IA64 NUMA platforms. Previously, Dawson worked at Santa Cruz Operation as product marketing manager for all layered products.

Greiner has more than 35 years of experience in all segments of the large systems and data center environment. Before joining Meta Group in April 1993, he was group vice president at Gartner Group. Previously, he spent 24 years at IBM, where his responsibilities primarily involved IBM's worldwide large systems strategies and offerings. Before leaving IBM in 1990, Greiner held key management positions in its enterprise systems headquarters.

Peterson is a prominent network storage and system I/O industry spokesperson and leader, often called the "catalyst of the industry." Peterson's engineering, business, and marketing background achieved through 32 years of experience in the storage, software and systems industries along with his years of research into the MIS community give him unique business, systems, and market expertise. He is widely known as the leading market analyst in the datacenter infrastructure industry (servers, system I/O, datacenter networking, storage and management).

Taneja focuses on storage and storage-centric server technologies. From late 2000 to early 2003, he was a senior analyst at the Enterprise Storage Group, an analyst group focused on storage technologies. He has 25 years' experience in the industry, specifically in servers, operating systems, file systems, storage area networks, network attached storage, fibre channel, iSCSI and InfiniBand, clustering and storage management software (backup/restore, replication, snapshot, SRM, virtualization, etc.). Taneja has held executive level positions in marketing and engineering with Sun Microsystems, IBM, Data General, Vixel and Andataco.

O'Neill brings a wide range expertise to the consulting and market research practices of Taneja Group. As a respected business and product strategy expert within in the data storage industry, he has helped many clients and their institutional investors develop, launch or refine offerings in the software, systems, and services sectors. A veteran of multiple start-ups, O'Neill's operating experience includes senior management positions in business development and product marketing for PolyServe and Storage Networks. He has consulted for several companies including EMC.

Balaouras covers the storage market for the Yankee Group's Enterprise Computing & Networking advisory service. Her research focuses on evolving trends such as storage virtualization, storage networking standards, disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, and the database market.
Prior to joining Yankee, Balaouras worked at EMC, first as a technical architect with a focus on Oracle/EMC integration and then as an education and productivity consultant. As a technical architect, Balaouras presented EMC's business value and complete product line to partners and customers and assisted in architecting solutions for new industry or market opportunities and/or customer requirements. As a consultant, she provided support on technical training programs and solutions to team members, business managers and the field. Prior to EMC, Balaouras worked at Accenture as a consultant focused on the implementation of enterprise applications.
