ARTIFICIAL LIFE, INC. TO RELEASE ALIFE-SMART-TEXT-ANALYZER, A DATA MINING TOOL FOR PERSONALIZING THE WEB EXPERIENCE
Artificial Life, Inc., a technology leader of intelligent software bots for the Internet, will introduce ALife-Smart-Text-Analyzer, a new data mining solution targeted at Web marketing professionals to help create Web customer profiles. The product, scheduled for release at the end of July, will act as a filter and an information extraction tool for any text document, such as transcripts of conversations with customers. By automating the time-consuming process of reading hundreds, even thousands of lines of conversation, marketing professionals can understand, within minutes, a customer's tastes and preferences by identifying major topics of conversation.
Artificial Life will offer the ALife-Smart-Text-Analyzer in two versions. Pricing for the workstation solution will start at US$990, and pricing for the server version with two client licenses will begin at US$2,500. Each additional client license will cost US$250. The ALife-Smart-Text-Analyzer requires a Java-enabled browser such as Microsoft IE versions 3.0 and higher or Netscape Navigator 3.0 and higher.
The ALife-Smart-Text-Analyzer can analyze log files and perform plain text content analysis through sophisticated linguistics, statistics, and neural network and fuzzy logic analysis. By mining through transcripts of customer conversations, Web developers will be able to enlarge the knowledge base of the ALife-WebGuide, thereby improving the ALife-WebGuide's ability to intelligently assist Web site visitors. The ALife-WebGuide acts as 24-hour, 365-days-a-year, intelligent personal assistant helping visitors search for information and providing real-time conversation in natural language.
The ALife-Smart-Text-Analyzer is an intelligent software application designed with a server-based architecture and a Web-based interface to ensure easy access. The product will also be compatible with JDBC-compliant databases for maximum portability. The ALife-Smart-Text-Analyzer will be offered as both a stand-alone solution and as a complement to the ALife-WebGuide.
