INDUSTRY LEADERS, ORACLE SUPPORT CONTENT MANAGEMENT SOLUTION

Oracle announced evidence of strong support for its content management offering through partnerships with leading technology vendors that leverage the capabilities of Oracle Files 10g. Industry leaders that will provide enhanced functionality for Oracle Files 10g, the first content management solution developed for true enterprise-wide deployment, include Adobe, Arbortext, Captiva Software, Kofax, netGuru, Network Appliance, Sun Microsystems Inc, Symantec and TMSSequoia.

Together with these and other partners, Oracle will provide complementary content management capabilities including storage that can help companies with regulatory compliance, document capture, image viewing and annotation, as well as additional document control and security.

Industry analysts agree that enterprise-wide content management is a growing need for businesses, which must manage ever-expanding content volume while meeting increasingly strict content-related government regulations. Industry analyst firm IDC estimates the overall content management market will increase to more than $4.5 billion in 2008. Oracle and its partners plan to capitalize on the growing need for secure, scalable and affordable technology that helps manage the entire content lifecycle.

"The combination of Oracle Files 10g and Network Appliance SnapLock gives our customers a powerful yet simple solution to help meet regulatory, IT and business challenges," said Patrick Rogers, vice president of Solutions and Alliance Marketing at Network Appliance. "Customers can benefit from the integration between a comprehensive compliance storage solution and a costeffective content management offering."

Oracle Files 10g, available on its own or as part of Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g, was developed with the average business user in mind to help increase productivity by delivering content management tools where and when they are needed. Built on the Oracle Database and Oracle Application Server, Oracle Files 10g provides outstanding scalability, security and reliability. In addition, the offering incorporates advanced records management capabilities that can facilitate regulatory compliance and help reduce the risk associated with information discovery.

"As Oracle extends content management across the enterprise, customers require more advanced and scalable input management capabilities," said Reynolds C. Bish, president and CEO of Captiva Software. "Our InputAccel offering provides organizations using Oracle Files 10g with an open document capture solution that can be tailored easily to meet specific business requirements."

"Oracle successfully has developed partnerships with key providers that will enable customers to reap immediate business benefits with Oracle Files 10g," said Greg Doherty, vice president for the Oracle Collaboration Suite at Oracle Corp. "The strength of the companies involved highlights the market opportunity for Oracle Files 10g, and their offerings can help customers achieve a greater return on their investment."
