HAMMER TO DISTRIBUTE INFORTREND'S DISK STORAGE SOLUTIONS
Disk-quality storage for the price of tape will become a reality as
Hammer spearheads the distribution of second-generation Serial ATA (SATA) RAID
storage systems from Infortrend. Hammer is to supply the new Fibre
Channel, rackmount, host EonStor A16F-G2221, U320 SCSI host EonStor A16U-G2421 and
EonStor A08U- C2410 Cube subsystems to organizations using sequential
data.
IBM LAUNCHES NEW SOLUTIONS FOR MEDICAL IMAGES, MEDICAL ARCHIVES
The IBM Dual Monitor Display Medical Assessment Workstation II helps
enable radiology departments and remote clinics enhance productivity with
twice the viewing capacity, optimal software navigation and a cinematic 16
to 10 aspect ratio and 204 pixels per inch, allowing close scrutiny with
fine-line accuracy.
INFORTREND DEBUTS FIRST iSCSI TO SATA-II EXTERNAL RAID SYSTEM
Infortrend unveiled the industry's first iSCSI to SATA-II external RAID
subsystem, as an addition to the EonStor line of RAID storage. The new
subsystem is compliant with iSCSI standards, offers low-cost connectivity,
and supports SATA-II disks with Native Command Queuing at up to 3.0Gbps
providing for a future-proof investment.
EV GROUP, KOMAG COLLABORATE ON NANOIMPRINT LITHOGRAPHY APP
EV Group (EVG), a manufacturer of nanoimprinting, MEMS and semiconductor
wafer-processing equipment, said that it has signed an agreement with
Komag Inc to develop, license and sell the world's first high-volume nanoimprint

revenue based on the amount of data being managed. This dual-choice sales

The partnership will provide solutions that integrate Hitachi Data

nStor SIGNS STRATEGIC TECHNOLOGY PARTNERSHIP WITH InoStor
nStor and InoStor announced a strategic technology partnership to
incorporate InoStor's advanced data protection capabilities into nStor's
storage solutions. As part of the partnership, nStor will initially embed
InoStor's RAIDn technology into its NexStor 4700S SATA series.
3PAR SIMPLIFIES STORAGE MANAGEMENT AND IMPROVES UTILIZATION

SAN MARKET SEES 8 PERCENT RISE IN MODULAR SAN SWITCH SALES
Dell'Oro Group announced that its new report reveals sales in the modular
storage area network (SAN) switch segment (also known as directors) grew
sequentially by eight percent during the quarter. This increase offset
declines in the fixed switch and host bus adapter (HBA) segments,
producing a flat result for the overall SAN market in the third quarter as
anticipated.
