StorCase 10-BAY 1U ENCLOSURE FEATURES SEAGATE 2.5-INCH DRIVES

StorCase Technology announced the launch of an introductory program, offering the StorCase InfoStation 10-Bay 1U SCSI backplane enclosure with Seagate's new Savvio 2.5-inch SFF (Small Form Factor) SCSI Ultra320 drives.

Specifically designed to support up to 10 2.5-inch drives, the high-density 10-bay InfoStation is the first SCSI Ultra320 enclosure available to support this latest drive size. The StorCase-Seagate product combination offers a new generation of enterprise storage.

"Both of these solutions allow the IT industry to take the next inevitable step towards standardizing on higher-density 2.5-inch drives and reap the benefits associated with them."

The new 10-bay InfoStation for 2.5-inch drives is extremely space-efficient and allows daisy-chaining for anticipated future system growth. The flexible enclosure is software-configurable to support either single or dual host connections. In addition to providing substantial rack space savings, the InfoStation's 1U construction also consumes significantly less power than larger 3.5-inch drive enclosures, both conserving energy and allowing for much cooler and quieter operation.

All StorCase InfoStation enclosures exceed the rotational vibration and heat dissipation requirements for the operation of high performance, high capacity drives. InfoStation enclosures are accompanied by a seven-year warranty (three years for power supplies and fan modules) in addition to StorCase's 24-7 technical phone support.
