JMR, LSI LOGIC TO OFFER FC, ULTRA320 SCSI CHANNEL BUNDLES

LSI Logic Corp announced that its Fibre Channel and Ultra320 SCSI Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) will be bundled with the JMR Electronics Fortra family of storage enclosures. JMR Electronics delivers innovative and fully-integrated turnkey interoperable SCSI, Fibre Channel and Serial ATA storage solutions for the VAR channel, focused on disk-to-disk back-up, disaster recovery and secondary tiered storage.

"Over the past few years, LSI Logic has worked closely with JMR to ensure both companies' products are interoperable," said Charlie Kraus, director of product management and marketing for the LSI Logic Storage Standard Products HBA Division. "We recognize that JMR is one of the critical storage enclosure vendors serving the channel, and that these product bundles provide customers a fully integrated and tested solution using our family of HBAs in conjunction with JMR Fortra storage RAID and enclosures."

The two companies have collaborated on extensive testing and product validation. JMR Electronics has selected LSI Logic's single-, dual- and quad-channel PCI-X Fibre Channel and the single- and dual-channel Ultra320 SCSI HBAs for bundling.

These products include:

• LSI7102XP-LC, LSI7202XP-LC and LSI7402XP-LC Fibre Channel HBAs that operate at 2 Gb per second and feature a 133MHz PCI-X host connect to deliver optimal SAN performance with the industry's newest computer platforms.
• LSI20320-R, LSI21320-R and LSI22320-R Ultra320 SCSI HBAs that deliver the highest available SCSI speeds, from 320MB per second to 640MB per second per adapter, depending on the model. In addition, the Ultra320 SCSI HBAs are flexible -- with configuration options needed for ISPs to enterprise servers.
