RAID INC RELEASES RAVEN iSCSI STORAGE SUBSYSTEM

RAID Inc announced the release of the Raven iSCSI RAID subsystem into its full line of storage solutions.

The Raven subsystem utilizes two independent iSCSI/Gigabit Ethernet host interface ports and can accommodate up to 6TB of storage capacity in a compact 3U form factor. The Raven also utilizes Serial ATA disk drives, offering high availability and performance at a very affordable price. The Raven comes standard with a hot-swappable controller, drive carriers, power supplies and cooling modules.

The Raven Array GUI Management Software allows monitoring and management of all functions, status and alerts through one interface. The Raven is also available with RAID Inc's StorageWatch 24-7 real-time remote monitoring and administration services.

The Raven is targeted for any applications that require large amounts of data storage with faster access than tape libraries. The Raven is perfect for clustering, data archival, document/medical imaging, video editing and surveillance, as well as disk-to-disk backup applications. The Raven also offers customers a more cost-effective alternative to Fibre Channel SAN solutions.
