The new relationship will enable Bell Microproducts to sell the LeftHand IP SAN solutions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), contract electronic manufacturing services customers, value-added resellers and system integrators throughout the United States and Canada. As a result of this alliance, end-users in the to mid-tier enterprise space now have increased access to LeftHand's innovative storage solutions that help customers save time, costs and resources while addressing storage consolidation, centralized backup, disaster recovery and business continuity needs. "Our partnership with Bell Microproducts is part of our overall strategy to work with top international distributors to facilitate rapid market penetration of our full-featured IP Storage Area Network," said David Bangs, vice president of sales at LeftHand Networks. "Bell Microproducts' established reputation, expertise and reseller-focused services will enable a new, broader range of resellers to offer our market-leading IP SAN." Bell Microproducts will distribute the LeftHand SAN consisting of SAN/iQ software, Network Storage Module (NSM) hardware and Remote IP Copy, a combined snapshot and replication application that simplifies the process of maintaining multiple copies of data across numerous facilities. The LeftHand Networks IP SAN provides a full set of SAN services, including centralized storage management, virtualization, non-disruptive scalability, automated fail-over, local and remote replication, snapshot and automated data migration. The LeftHand SAN is ideal for Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, server consolidation, local or geographic disaster recovery and backup projects.
