Finisar Corp, a provider of network solutions, announced that its Medusa
Labs group has introduced a new Test Tools Suite for developers of Storage
Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) products and
components.
LINKSYS EXPANDS LINE OF NAS DEVICES WITH 250GB SOLUTION FOR SMBs
The new Linksys NAS appliance offers 250GB of IDE hard drive storage space
that stands upright for small spaces or lays flat on the desktop. Storage
capacity can increase to 500GB by adding an additional 250GB drive to the
empty second drive bay.

SanBlaze DELIVERS FIBRE CHANNEL TARGET EMULATION SYSTEM
The VirtuaLUN emulates FC disk drives for read/write performance testing
environments, with no initiator side software changes required, and reduces
the need to deploy large farms of physical "scratch" disks, providing high
performance, non-volatile disk media at a fraction of the cost of physical
disks.

AXS-ONE, SUN TO ADDRESS DEMANDS FOR RECORDS COMPLIANCE MGMT
AXS-One Inc, a provider of Records Compliance Management software
solutions, announced an alliance with Sun Microsystems. As a result of this
agreement, Sun Microsystems will resell the AXS-One Compliance Platform to
its existing enterprise customers and new customers in targeted markets.
BELL MICROPRODUCTS EXPANDS RELATIONSHIP WITH QLogic
Bell Microproducts Inc announced that it has expanded its relationship
with QLogic Corp, enabling it to distribute QLogic's complete line of OEM
network storage products including controller chips, host bus adapters and
Fibre Channel switches.

FalconStor, eSeSIX COLLABORATE ON NEW VTL APPLIANCE FOR GERMANY
The VTL Appliance will complement eSeSIX's existing portfolio of storage
products, including its own SANCenter solution appliances, also powered by
IPStor.
FUJITSU, BELL MICROPRODUCTS ENTER STORAGE DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT
Bell Microproducts will begin shipping Fujitsu enterprise hard disk
drives, mobile hard disk drives and magneto-optical (MO) drives to resellers
in North and South America. Bell Microproducts is a Fortune 1000 company
with sales exceeding $2.23 billion in 2003.

KASTEN CHASE ANNOUNCES CHANNEL AGREEMENT WITH STORAGEFLEX
The agreement will see Kasten Chase's Assurency SecureData 1.5 secure
storage and information management platform, integrated into Storageflex
solutions for SAN, DAS and iSCSI environments.
LSI ADAPTERS POWER PRIMERGY S2 SERVERS FROM FUJITSU SIEMENS
Fujitsu Siemens Computers will integrate LSI Logic MegaRAID technology
into existing and new servers in its PRIMERGY S2 product line to provide
customers with high-performing server and storage subsystem solutions that
meet critical performance and data redundancy requirements.

QLogic, CISCO LEAD INDUSTRY INTO NEW ERA OF MULTI-VENDOR SANs
Based on a design for full compliance with FC-SW standards, the companies
are now delivering core switches and blade server switches that have been
tested and qualified as interoperable across a range of functions from basic
port compatibility to sophisticated zoning techniques based on agreed
testing protocols.
QUALSTAR ANNOUNCES DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH INGRAM MICRO
Qualstar Corp announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with
Ingram Micro Inc, a technology sales, marketing and logistics company. Under
the new agreement, select Qualstar RLS-Series tape library models are now
available to all Ingram Micro resellers throughout the United States.
StorageTek, KEY EQUIPMENT FINANCE RENEW LEASING PARTNERSHIP
Key Equipment Finance will provide lease-financing options to StorageTek
customers worldwide. By offering an in-house customer finance solution,
StorageTek provides business customers with convenient and customized

DataCore, LOYOLA TO SUPPORT HOMELAND SECURITY EXERCISE
DataCore Software announced that Loyola Enterprises Inc has integrated
SANmelody Disk Server software into its SAN-FIRE system, which is being
deployed by Naval Air Systems Command to support the Joint Forces Command
during the Homeland Security (HLS) Determined Promise exercise.
FUJITSU DEMOS SAS, SATA INTEROPERABILITY AT SAS PLUGFEST
The interoperability testing was conducted during the SAS plugfest
conducted the week of June 21 in the Interoperability Lab at the University
of New Hampshire. Fujitsu was the only manufacturer able to demonstrate both
SAS and SATA interoperability with its own SFF SAS and 2.5-inch SATA hard
disk drives.
