WASABI RELEASES STORAGE BUILDER 1500i FOR iSCSI TARGETS
The new version of Storage Builder sports an updated graphical user
interface that further simplifies the setup process and provides a detailed
view of system information. It also delivers substantial performance
improvements over its predecessor in terms of data throughput and I/O
operations per second.

ADAPTEC TO EXPAND RAID DATA-PROTECTION CAPABILITIES
Adaptec Inc announced it will license and acquire certain RAID
data-protection intellectual property, RAID products and expertise from IBM
to expand and enhance Adaptec RAID product offerings.
ANACOMP, EXABYTE TO MAINTAIN TAPE-BASED STORAGE PRODUCTS
Anacomp Inc, a global provider of multi-vendor services, announced that it
has signed an agreement with Exabyte to expand their current relationship in
the delivery of support services for Exabyte's line of tape-based storage
products.

BakBone INKS WORLDWIDE ALLIANCE WITH NEC
BakBone Software, a global provider of data protection software, and NEC
Corp announced that they have signed a worldwide alliance to integrate
BakBone's NetVault software with NEC's TX7 Series Server Family based on the
Intel Itanium 2 processor.

CentricStor VIRTUAL TAPE APPLIANCE LAUNCHED IN U.S. MARKET
CentricStor, a powerful, heterogeneous virtual tape system previously
available only in Europe and Asia, was launched for the U.S. market by
PeakData Inc, a Colorado-based storage solutions provider.
EqualLogic RECEIVES $20 MILLION IN EXPANSION CAPITAL
EqualLogic Inc announced that it received an additional $20 million in an
oversubscribed third round of funding led by new investor Focus Ventures.
The Series C round supports EqualLogic's expansion of sales, marketing and
manufacturing activities in North America, Europe and Asia.

GlassHouse TECHNOLOGIES ACQUIRES THE STORAGE GROUP
As part of the acquisition, W. Curtis Preston, an industry thought leader
and recognized backup expert, will join GlassHouse as vice president of
service development, reporting to Chief Technology Officer Jim Damoulakis.
The deal is expected to close in July.

LENOVO NAMES LSI LOGIC PRIMARY ULTRA320 SCSI RAID SUPPLIER
LSI Logic Corp announced that the company has been chosen by Lenovo, the
largest hi-tech enterprise in China, to be the primary supplier of Ultra320
SCSI RAID adapters. Lenovo will implement the complete family of LSI Logic's
MegaRAID Ultra320 SCSI RAID adapters into its servers.
SanDisk, SiliconSystems SIGN CROSS LICENSE AGREEMENT
According to the terms of the agreement, SanDisk and SiliconSystems will
be cross-licensed to use flash system patents of both companies for
specifically defined product applications.

SUN, StorageTek SET TO 'FOREVER CHANGE' STORAGE
StorageTek announced completion of a strategic OEM partnership agreement
with Sun Microsystems at the Storage World Conference. Under the agreement,
Sun will market and sell StorageTek's StreamLine SL8500 under the StorEdge
brand, as well as StorageTek's L-700e and L-180 tape libraries.
SYBASE EXTENDS FINANCIAL SERVICES REACH WITH NEC PARTNERSHIP
Sybase Inc, a provider of enterprise infrastructure and mobile software,
announced it has partnered with NEC Corp to offer financial services
customers innovative data management and analysis solutions to increase the
productivity and efficiency of banking operations.

ASIGRA STAKES CLAIM IN DISTRIBUTED BACKUP/RECOVERY MARKET
Asigra is set to provide a simplified distributed backup architecture that
provides the highest level of accountability to satisfy compliance
regulations, while attacking the hard and "soft" costs associated with
managing data at hundreds or thousands of remote locations.
FORRESTER: INFORMATICA CONTINUES LEAD IN DATA INTEGRATION MARKET
In a June 22 report titled The ETL Tool Market Is Back And Growing,
Forrester states that Informatica captured the leadership position once
again in 2003 with 23 percent of the market, and forecasts healthy growth
ahead for the Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) industry.

BC CANCER AGENCY IMPLEMENTS NetApp STORAGE SOLUTION
The BC Cancer Agency chose NetApp as its storage provider in order to
achieve the security, scalability and high availability it requires when
supporting its research data.

PACIFIC, WESTERN DIGITAL SET PERFORMANCE RECORD FOR SATA QUEUING
The combination of Pacific Digital Talon and WD Raptor hard drives
outperforms many 10,000 and 15,000 RPM SCSI drives. Using the industry
standard IOMeter benchmark, the performance boost is 1.5 times the
throughput of more expensive 10,000 RPM U160 SCSI configurations.
THREE COMPANIES JOIN GROWING PANASAS CUSTOMER BASE
Panasas Inc demonstrated its success in the oil and gas market with the
addition of: Core Laboratories N.V.; Maxus Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary
of Repsol-YPF; and Virtual Computer Corp (VCC) to its growing customer base.

RIVERBED TECHNOLOGY JOINS EMC NAS PARTNER PROGRAM
The relationship leverages Riverbed's expertise in wide area application
performance with EMC's expertise in information storage and management to
enable centralization of server and storage resources and the simplification
of management.
