WASABI RELEASES STORAGE BUILDER 1500i FOR iSCSI TARGETS

In its rapidly broadening array of networked storage software solutions, Wasabi Systems announced the release of Wasabi Storage Builder 1500i for iSCSI targets. The new version of Storage Builder sports an updated graphical user interface that further simplifies the setup process and provides a detailed view of system information. Storage Builder 1500i also delivers substantial performance improvements over its predecessor in terms of data throughput and I/O operations per second.

Wasabi Storage Builder 1500i offers an extensive set of features:

• Intuitive & OEM brandable Graphical User Interface (GUI).

• CHAP authentication.

• Support for clustered servers using a shared iSCSI storage resource.

• Up to 64 virtual disks and 80 iSCSI sessions per appliance.

• Support for up to 32 drives per enclosure.

• SATA drive support from Maxtor, Seagate and Western Digital.

• Equipped for Microsoft's Designed for Windows logo certification.

Storage Builder 1500i is compatible with the market's leading iSCSI initiators, including those provided by Microsoft and Linux server operating systems. Additionally, Wasabi's validation labs have verified compatibility with key hardware storage adaptors and accelerators, including the Intel PRO/1000T IP Storage Adaptor, the Adaptec 7211C host bus adaptor and the Alacritech 1000x1 IPP TCP/IP Offload adaptor.
