This solution provides a significant performance enhancement and it is

EMC EXPANDS ILM WITH ADIC TAPE SOLUTIONS
EMC Corp and Advanced Digital Information Corp (ADIC) announced that EMC
will resell ADIC Scalar tape libraries to expand its industry-leading
information lifecycle management portfolio, and ADIC will resell EMC
CLARiiON CX networked storage as part of its Pathlight VX virtual tape
solution.
ARIO SECURES $17 MILLION SERIES D ROUND OF VENTURE FINANCING
This most recent round raises ARIO Data's total funding to date to $34.3
million. ARIO Data will utilize the funds to expand product development,
sales and marketing activities.

HITACHI APPOINTS NEW AUSTRALIAN DISTRIBUTOR
Legend, an Australia-based information technology component distributor,
will offer its customers the full range of Hitachi HDDs. Hitachi is also
launching channel initiatives, including a Strategic Partner Program that
offers enhanced training, support and financial incentives for systems

According to IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Storage Software Tracker, the
worldwide storage software market grew 23.3 percent year-over-year in the
first quarter of 2004, reaching $1.85 billion in total revenue and
representing two quarters of consecutive year-over-year growth.
META GROUP: STORAGE MGMT MKT DYNAMIC, VOLATILE
META Group finds net annual gigabyte storage growth will average 25 to 30
percent for enterprise (monolithic), 45 to 50 percent for midrange (modular)
and 80 to 85 percent for capacity-based (SATA/ATA). Like-for-like
price/capacity will improve 35 percent per year.
