FalconStor, SYSTEMAT PARTNER IN LUXEMBOURG, BELGIUM MARKETS

FalconStor Software Inc, a developer of network storage infrastructure software solutions, announced a collaboration with SYSTEMAT, an integrator of storage solutions based in Brussels, to deliver Virtual Tape Library, iSCSI Storage Server and Backup & BareMetal Recovery turn-key appliances, powered by FalconStor's flagship product IPStor software.

These appliances leverage industry standard disk, IP and Fibre Channel, over a storage area network. SYSTEMAT's System@Stor family of solutions include a Virtual Tape Library Appliance that accelerates the backup and restoration of data with minimal operating cost and a rapid return on investment, an iSCSI Storage Server Appliance that facilitates the consolidation and management of storage using the industry standard iSCSI protocol and a Backup & BareMetal Recovery Appliance, which minimizes server/desktop downtime by providing an IP-based boot service that continues operations in the event of a boot disk failure from a head crash, virus infection or data corruption.

The System@Stor Virtual Tape Library Appliance enhances the speed and reliability of existing third party backup applications by using disks to emulate industry standard tape libraries, and by transferring data to and restoring it from disk-based virtual tape at ultra high speeds. The Appliance also maximizes reliability by removing robotic mechanical failures and physical tape media errors.

The System@Stor iSCSI Storage Server Appliance is a cost-effective, turnkey solution designed to deliver continuous data availability, rapid recovery, and centralized storage management for Windows, NetWare or Linux hosts attached to an IP/iSCSI network.

The System@Stor Backup & BareMetal Recovery Appliance captures the boot image and data of designated servers, desktops, or notebooks and utilizes the industry standard PXE protocol to boot these machines over an IP network in the event of a boot disk failure. As a result, return to service is nearly immediate, reducing potential downtime and greatly improving IT efficiency.
