HP DRIVES DOWN COST OF STORAGE AREA NETWORKING
HP announced innovative storage solutions designed to help customers drive

IMATION TERA ANGSTROM TECHNOLOGY ALLOWS TB-CLASS TAPE MEDIA
The cartridges utilizing Tera Angstrom technology will be in capacities of
400 gigabytes and higher; Imation expects to deliver multi-terabyte
cartridges within the decade.

INCIPIENT DEMOS FABRIC-BASED STORAGE APPLICATIONS AT SNW
Incipient showcased a business application that uses Microsoft Windows
2000 with Internet Information Server (IIS) and a Microsoft SQL Server 2000
database running on logical volumes provided by the Incipient Distributed
Virtualization Engine (DVE).
ISILON INTRODUCES IQ 1440, 2250 CLUSTERED STORAGE SYSTEMS
The new Isilon IQ products double the total aggregate throughput of
Isilon's previous generation of products, introduced only six months ago.
LSI LOGIC FIRST TO SAMPLE FULLY-FUNCTIONAL SAS HBAs
The HBA SAS sampling extends the opportunity for system, server and
workstation equipment manufacturers to test with the first fully-functional

MS ANNOUNCES STORAGE INNOVATIONS, INVESTMENTS
Microsoft announced a new feature pack for Windows Storage Server 2003,
part of Windows Server System, as well as new storage innovations to provide
simpler and more economical management of Fibre Channel and Microsoft
Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) storage area networks in

The companies will bring to market new Fibre Channel storage networking

EM MICROELECTRONIC LEVERAGES SST SuperFlash TECHNOLOGY
This new agreement extends the companies' existing licensing relationship
whereby EM Microelectronic has been using SST's 0.5-micron SuperFlash
technology since October 2001.
FalconStor ANNOUNCES OEM AGREEMENT WITH EMC
FalconStor Software Inc, a leading developer of network storage
infrastructure software solutions, announced that EMC Corp, a world leader
in information storage and management, has licensed tape emulation
components of FalconStor's IPStor software to utilize in the new EMC
CLARiiON Disk Library.

LUMINEX, ViON AGREE TO BRING OPEN SYSTEMS DISK STORAGE TO GOV'T
The companies have entered into an agreement which will enable ViON to

EMULEX ANNOUNCES HBA SUPPORT FOR SMI-S, TEAMS WITH AppIQ
Emulex's implementation, as demonstrated at last week's Storage Networking
World Spring 2004 show with AppIQ, delivers the broadest range of
capabilities in the industry, including the ability to fully configure and
manage all the HBAs in a SAN from a single console.
iVivity, StoreAge EXECUTE BREAKTHROUGH iSCSI STORAGE MGMT
The demonstration shows that by leveraging iDiSX, OEMs have a path to full
iSCSI functionality for their existing Fibre Channel SAN products without
compromising performance or incurring additional costs.

MaXXan DEMOS FOUR STORAGE SOLUTIONS AT SNIA EVENT
MaXXan's demonstrations included switch interoperability with a host of
SAN devices, disaster recovery solutions over a simulated long-distance WAN
connection, storage virtualization across heterogeneous disk arrays, iSCSI
SAN with NAS gateway for NAS/SAN convergence and Fibre Channel over IP for
connecting SAN islands.
MUSTANG ENGINEERING WINS 'BEST PRACTICES IN STORAGE' AWARD
This award recognizes the Mustang DLM solution featuring NuView's File
Lifecycle Manager (FLM), a policy-based data management solution that
manages the lifecycle of files, and Network Appliance storage systems.
OGDEN, UTAH, HONORED WITH 'BEST PRACTICES IN STORAGE' AWARD
The program honors organizations that have applied unique solutions to
overcoming storage challenges. The awards were announced during a special
awards ceremony at Storage Networking World (SNW) in Phoenix.

The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) has certified products

Management (WBEM) standards. CIM and WBEM are the basis of the SNIA's
Storage Management Initiative Specification (SMI-S).
SPIRENT FC PERFORMANCE TESTER HIGHLIGHTS QLogic PERFORMANCE
Spirent Communications announced that QLogic Corp has leveraged Spirent's
SmartBits and its Fibre Channel test modules to demonstrate the performance
of the QLogic SANbox 5200 Stackable Fibre Channel Switch with 10Gb per
second inter-switch linking.
StoneFly NETWORKS CUSTOMER, PBS, HONORED BY SNW
PBS, winner in the Innovation and Promise category, was recognized for
maximizing its StoneFly IP SAN to connect stranded servers to a Fibre
Channel SAN, resulting in improved storage utilization, provisioning and
return on investment.
NEW STORAGE PERFORMANCE RECORDS SET
Texas Memory Systems' RamSan-320 achieved an SPC-1 I/O per second rate of
