STMicroelectronics CONFIRMS ROADMAP FOR NAND FLASH MEMORY MKT
STMicroelectronics announced the volume production of its 1-Gbit and
512-Mbit NAND Flash memory products, which are the first available devices
in the company's portfolio of NAND products. The NAND1G and NAND512 are
available in both 1.8V and 3V versions.

STORServer SHIPS LARGEST CAPACITY ENTERPRISE BACKUP APPLIANCE
STORServer Inc, manufacturer of the all-in-one enterprise Backup
Appliance, announced that it is shipping the largest capacity backup
appliance on the market, with an online storage pool capable of handling
nearly 1.5 Petabytes of customer data.

AUTONOMY ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH VERITAS
Autonomy Corp, a leading provider of infrastructure software for the
enterprise, announced an OEM agreement with VERITAS Inc, the leading storage
software provider. VERITAS Software has embedded Autonomy's technology into
the new VERITAS Data Lifecycle Manager 5.0 software.

IntelliReach, iLumin ANNOUNCE TECHNOLOGY PARTNERSHIP
The integrated IntelliReach and iLumin solution is designed to help
organizations using Novell GroupWise to recognize the value of their e-mail
systems by lowering total cost of ownership, facilitating e-mail storage
efficiencies and establishing regulatory compliance and litigation support
solutions for commercial organizations and government agencies.
MENDOCINO SOFTWARE SECURES $15 MILLION IN INITIAL ROUND
Mendocino Software, an application recovery software company, announced it
has secured and completed $15 million in its Series A funding round.
Mayfield and Accel Partners co-led the round, with additional participation
from Advent International and Foundation Capital.

BROADCOM ACQUIRES RAIDcore FROM LONGWORTH, EGAN MANAGED CAPITAL
RAIDCore Inc, a Nashua, N.H.-based start-up focused on the development of
RAID and virtualization software has been acquired by Broadcom Corp, a
leading provider of silicon solutions enabling broadband communications.
RAIDCore was backed by Longworth Venture Partners and Egan-Managed Capital.
RISE ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH BiTMICRO
RISE Storage Networks, a French company established in 1997 specializing
in network design and SANs, and BiTMICRO Networks have agreed to cooperate
and integrate the intelligent E-Disk platform of flash memory solid-state

FalconStor Software Inc announced that the law firm of Skadden, Arps,

York.
IU NAMED SUN CTR OF EXCELLENCE FOR KNOWLEDGE MGMT, DISCOVERY
This Center of Excellence will focus on the research of Katy Börner,

SANchips, StorageTek SUCCESSFULLY TEST FC SoC TECHNOLOGY
SANchips, a privately-held developer of Fiber Channel/SOC chip, announced
that Storage Technology Corp has completed Alpha testing for the first
SANchips product, the SOC-800. The testing was done in the StorageTek Gold
Lab in Louisville, Colo.

DRAM PRICES RAISE DRASTICALLY, LOOK TO STAY HIGH FOR APRIL
One reason was a fear that some supplies might be cut off after
post-election disputes in Taiwan. Some analysts believe dynamic random
access memory chip sales will remain strong through April.
SNW STAGES MGMT INTEROPERABILITY DEMO BASED ON SMI-S
This will mark the largest demonstration of all major components of a SAN
(arrays, switches, Host Bus Adapters, Network Attached Storage devices and
Storage Media Libraries) assembled for multi-vendor integration on a common
management standard -- SMI-S.
