RAIDTEC UNVEILS THIRD-GENERATION FIBRE CHANNEL SAN SOLUTIONS

Raidtec Corp, a leader in NAS and SAN Storage Networking, has unveiled its third-generation Fibre Channel SAN Storage Solutions, FibreArray 3000. The 3000 series is available with both Fibre Channel and Serial ATA (SATA) disk drives and is being launched on the market in Raidtec's newly designed 16 bay rackmount enclosure.

FibreArray Elite 3000 combines low cost, high capacity SATA disk technology with high performance Fibre Channel host interfaces and a complete set of enterprise RAID features and benefits, to provide a highly cost-effective SAN Storage Solution. Many organizations today are forced to delay or forego investing in badly needed high-availability storage systems because they exceed tight budgets. Furthermore, a high proportion of company data does not require five 9s reliability as it comprises fixed content, archival and multi-site distribution for disaster recovery purposes.

FibreArray Elite and eXtreme SAN Storage Arrays may be combined to provide the reliability of Fibre Channel disks with higher capacity, lower cost SATA disks, in a single, integrated storage solution. Both arrays may also be used as capacity building blocks for Raidtec's NAS headend, SNAZ E0. Attach either JBOD or RAID versions directly to the SNAZ E0 for up to 30TB NAS solution. Raidtec's new robust enclosure design comprises a 16 bay, 3U rackmount form-factor and can house either Fibre Channel or Serial ATA disk drives. The enclosure is No Single Point of Failure compliant with n+1 power supply units, cooling and hot-swap environmental array monitoring as standard.
