BlackDiamond 10K delivers a new level of security to core Ethernet networking. Firewalling the Ethernet core from the outside network has become a common element of network design. The BlackDiamond 10K complements the firewall by protecting the "soft interior" of the network that currently goes unprotected. Utilizing the industry's most advanced packet inspection engine, CLEAR-Flow traffic analysis and 128,000 access control lists (ACLs) -- the BlackDiamond can be programmed to intelligently identify malicious attacks and dynamically enable access controls to shut down attackers before they can bring down the network.

With yet another industry first, BlackDiamond 10K incorporates T-Flex programmable ASIC technology.
