Viking InterWorks INTRODUCES EnthusiX PC3200 MEMORY MODULES

Viking InterWorks, a Sanmina-SCI Company, has announced the expansion of its performance memory modules with the introduction of EnthusiX 256MB and 512MB PC3200 modules, targeted at high-end computing and server systems. Viking's EnthusiX will launch with 256MB and 512MB, PC3200(DDR400) registered memory modules intended for use with AMD64 processors, including the AMD Athlon 64 FX and AMD Opteron processors.

Viking's new 1GB and 512MB PC3200 Registered DIMM Kits operate at clock frequencies of 333MHz, and 400MHz and provide up to 2.7GB/s and 3.2GB/s of bandwidth respectively.

"AMD has been working with Viking to help ensure we meet the memory needs of our performance-demanding AMD Athlon 64 FX customers," said Emile Ianni, vice president of Platform Engineering and Infrastructure for AMD's Computation Products Group. "The EnthusiX PC3200 memory has been rigorously tested on AMD Athlon 64 FX processor-based systems to deliver world-class dual channel memory performance to our shared customers."

"Viking is excited to engage with AMD and be part of the enabling efforts on DDR400 technology in the high performance PC segment," said Rick Hazell, vice president of channel sales and marketing. "EnthusiX DIMMs enable a low cost dual channel system to attain 6.4GBs system bandwidth and up to 4GB (333/400MHz) or 8GB (200/266MHz) of main memory, while providing 16-bit of Error Correction Code (ECC) protection."
