ADIC UNVEILS FastStor 2 AUTOLOADER FOR LIGHTS-OUT BACKUP
Advanced Digital Information Corporation announced recently a new compact
Linear Tape-Open (LTO) autoloader that provides a week or more of unattended
backup for a risk-free, affordable alternative to standalone tape drives.
The new product, the FastStor 2, offers a high-performance LTO Ultrium
Generation 1 tape drive and eight data cartridges in a rack-optimized
chassis that takes up only two standard rack units.
AMKOR INTRODUCES INNOVATIVE, LOW-COST MEMORY CARD
Recognizing the rapidly growing market for digital storage and I/O cards
used in portable and hand-held applications, Amkor Technology Inc has
developed the industry's first, low cost, leadframe-based memory and I/O
cards.

HITACHI GLOBAL STORAGE UNVEILS TINY MICRODRIVE
Newly formed hard disk drive company Hitachi Global Storage Technologies
has unveiled plans for a tiny drive that will be used in consumer electronic
devices and said it will turn a profit in 2004.
INFINITE DATA STORAGE INTRODUCES THE KOMODO
Imagine having one device the size of a standard portable CD player that
lets you access and record data on CDs and access DVDs. Infinite Data
Storage has made this vision a reality with the Komodo. It's a

LEXAR MEDIA ANNOUNCES JumpDrive TRIO
Lexar Media Inc announces JumpDrive Trio, the latest addition to the
company's industry leading JumpDrive product line. The JumpDrive is the
Lexar Media portable USB storage product line that enables users to easily
store, carry and transfer files that are often too large to fit on a floppy,
as is the case with many presentation, video and music files.
RORKE DATA RELEASES UNIQUE SAN SOLUTION AIMED AT MAC OSX
Rorke Data, a subsidiary of San Jose-based Bell Microproducts Inc
announced recently that it has released the storage industry's first Storage
Area Network (SAN) file management application ImageSAN OSX, specifically
designed for Apple Computer's OS X operating system.

NEW SmartDisk FirePower DRIVE APPLIES FireWire 800 Mbit TECH
SmartDisk Corporation has introduced a new line of high performance
desktop hard drives that connect to Apple's computers using the new, higher
speed, 800 Mbit/sec FireWire standard.
STORServer INTEGRATES OVERLAND NEO SERIES TAPE LIBRARIES
Overland Storage Inc and STORServer Inc have announced the availability of
the STORServer V Series, featuring Overland's Neo Series tape libraries.
This new product brings LTO and SDLT technology to the STORServer suite of
Backup Appliances and provides a truly integrated all-in-one solution
including server, backup software and Overland tape library.

VERITAS ANNOUNCES ROAD MAP FOR BARE METAL RESTORE CAPABILITY
VERITAS Software Corporation has announced plans to focus future product
development for VERITAS Bare Metal Restore disaster recovery technology on
the VERITAS NetBackup data protection environment. VERITAS Software also
announced plans to discontinue future sales of a separate product, VERITAS
Bare Metal Restore for IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, effective June 15, 2003.

GlassHouse Technologies Inc, a leading provider of vendor-neutral

IBM TO SELL CISCO DATA STORAGE SWITCHES

International Business Machines Corp will sell data storage switches just
introduced by Cisco Systems Inc in a move to strengthen its product lineup
in a rapidly growing market, the companies said recently.
INTRANSA RINGS IN THE NEW YEAR WITH AN ADDITIONAL $6 MILLION
Intransa announced recently that it has secured an additional $6 million
in venture capital financing. Existing investors, Advanced Technology
Ventures, Sofinnova Ventures, Sofinnova Partners, US Venture Partners, and
3Com were joined by other smaller investors in Intransa's third round of
funding, which brings the company's total funding to $33 million to date.

McDATA's SANavigator NOW AVAILABLE THROUGH 175 RESELLERS
McDATA Corporation, a worldwide leader in open, ultra high-availability
storage networking solutions, has announced that it has partnered with more
than 175 system integrators and resellers to distribute McDATA's
award-winning SANavigator storage network management software to customers
throughout the world.

Network Appliance Inc, a leading provider of enterprise network storage

SAND SECURES $1M+ STATE GOVERNMENT ORDER
SAND Technology announced recently that it has secured an order in excess
of $1M for a SAND Analytic Server system to be used by a US State government

Brocade Communications Systems Inc and StorageTek announced recently that
the companies are working together to deliver professional services,
break-fix service and support, and SAN education to their mutual SAN
customers worldwide.

E-MAIL AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

The Information Age has prompted significant changes in the way companies
do business. Most business transactions have evolved from paper-based
processes and are now being performed electronically -- most notably, via
e-mail. Clearly, the "paperless office" is far from reality, but e-mail has
quickly conquered the previously paper-centric world of business to replace
memos, letters, faxes, and even the telephone as the predominate mode of
corporate communication. Industry analysts believe that at least 80% of all
corporate information is contained within e-mail.
BENETTON UNITES INFORMATION WITH EMC AUTOMATED NETWORKED STO
EMC Corporation has announced that Benetton Group SpA, a worldwide leader
in casual clothing, sportswear and equipment, has consolidated its product
design, enterprise e-mail, inventory management, sales and financial
information onto EMC Automated Networked Storage.

LEADING MORTGAGE LENDER STANDARDISES ON SILKWORM 12000
Brocade Communications Systems Inc announced recently that Halifax and
Bank of Scotland Group plc (HBOS) has standardized on the Brocade SilkWorm
12000 Core Fabric Switch to support its operations in the United Kingdom. As
one of the largest mortgage lenders and financial services companies in
Europe, HBOS has implemented a Brocade SAN infrastructure in order to create
a disaster-tolerant environment for critical financial data.
HITACHI ESTABLISHES "HITACHI GLOBAL STORAGE TECHNOLOGIES"
Hitachi Ltd announced recently that it has created a new hard disk drive
(HDD) storage company with the most advanced technology, the most extensive
product line, and the greatest global reach in the industry.

1394 TRADE ASSOC AWARDS MAXTOR 1ST FIREWIRE COMPLIANCE LOGO
The 1394 Trade Association, the worldwide industry organization that
develops the IEEE 1394 multimedia standard, has announced that Maxtor
Corporation is the first company to complete and pass the association's
compliance testing program. The association awarded Maxtor the first
official Compliance Logo for meeting all the program's requirements.
VIXEL, LangChao ELECTRONICS PARTNER TO DEPLOY SAN SOLUTIONS
Vixel Corporation, a leading provider of storage networking technologies,
and LangChao Electronics, one of China's leading national suppliers of
server products, announced recently that they will partner to bring new SAN
