APRILIS ACQUIRES HOLOGRAPHIC STORAGE PATENTS
Aprilis Inc, a manufacturer of holographic media and data storage systems,
has announced that it has reached an agreement with Tamarack Storage
Devices, a wholly owned subsidiary of Manhattan Scientifics Inc, on the
acquisition of 21 holographic data storage patents.
DIMENSION DATA EXPANDS PARTNERSHIP WITH EMC
Dimension Data has announced a global strategic partnership with industry
leading networked storage solution provider EMC Corporation. The global
agreement with EMC will enable Dimension Data to unify its relationship with
EMC worldwide and to significantly strengthen its current range of storage
solutions.
HITACHI DATA SYSTEMS AND NETWORK APPLIANCE COLLABORATE
Hitachi Data Systems Corporation and Network Appliance Inc announced
recently that the companies have signed an agreement to market and sell
enterprise NAS solutions. Under terms of the agreement, Hitachi Data Systems
will offer NetApp enterprise NAS gateway solutions for Hitachi Freedom
Storage environments managed by HiCommand Management Framework tools.

Escala servers.
BURNETT OVERHAULS STORAGE MANAGEMENT USING DataCore SOFTWARE
DataCore Software has dramatically improved the economics of storage
management and data protection for Texas-based Burnett Companies
Consolidated. Burnett already owned a top-of-the-line monolithic storage
