EMULEX FIBRE CHANNEL HOST BUS ADAPTERS SELECTED BY HP
Emulex Corporation, a leading supplier of storage networking host bus adapters (HBAs), announced that its LightPulse LP8000, LP9000 and 2Gb/s LP9002L HBAs have been selected by Hewlett-Packard Company to provide Fibre Channel connectivity to HP's network storage appliance solutions running in Linux environments.

LPI DELIVERS ITS SECOND LEVEL LINUX CERTIFICATION
The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) announced the completion of its Level 2 certification exams. The exams, which cover the intermediate level of the LPI certification program, will be made available September 4 in beta form at a special price.

OPEN SOURCE MOVES TO PHONES
Linux backers are hoping their open-source operating system will end up being the dark horse in the smart-phone operating system race -- especially if the other contenders continue to straggle.
