In recent White Papers and in DKMS Brief No. One, I presented Distributed Knowledge Management (DKM) architecture as the appropriate architecture for Distributed Knowledge Management Systems (DKMS), and DKMS as the IT application whose purpose is to support the Knowledge Management Process. An important aspect of DKM architecture is its Active Knowledge Manager (AKM) component.
