ETI Recognized as Top Business-Intelligence Vendor

Evolutionary Technologies International Inc (ETI), a leading supplier of enterprise data integration management solutions, announced its third appearance on the "DM Review 100" list, an annual ranking of the top 100 business-intelligence vendors by the readers of DM Review magazine. ETI was ranked No. 36. The survey, conducted by Market Perspectives Inc, will be published in the December 2000 issue of DM Review.

"ETI has again shown itself to be one of the market leaders in the business-intelligence industry. The 'DM Review 100' represents the companies that are effectively meeting the business-intelligence needs of their customers, and inclusion in this exclusive group demonstrates each company's commitment to excellence," said Ron Powell, publisher and editorial director of DM Review.

ETI's cofounder, president and CEO, Dr. Katherine Hammer, will be profiled in a related feature article spotlighting the CEOs of the "DM Review 100," also to be published in the December 2000 issue. She will address the question, "For businesses to compete successfully, they must focus strategically on their customers. This requires an effective e-business infrastructure with a business-intelligence backbone. How is your company responding to the cultural changes that are resulting from the rise of e-business and customer centricity?"

"ETI's third year on the 'DM Review 100' confirms that we are consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Fortune-1000 companies are faced with increasingly complex data-integration challenges, as they implement new e-business initiatives; manage change in a dynamic world; and seek to improve the flow of information inside and outside of their organizations. ETI's suite of data-integration management software has proven to be up to the challenge."

This year's "DM Review 100" is based on a comprehensive readership study of 453 products from across eight different product categories, used within readers' organizations. The top 100 vendors were chosen based on a weighting process that made calculated adjustments for the following factors: (a) the rating scores for each product; (b) the number of sites reporting use of the product; (c) the number of products in a given product category; (d) the number of categories in which a vendor participated; and (e) the overall rating scores for each vendor.

In 1998 and 1999, this ranking of vendors by DM Review readers was identified as the "Data Warehouse 100". Data warehousing has become universally recognized as the required infrastructure of strategic business-intelligence initiatives, and the vendors serving this marketplace now represent a broad spectrum of products and services. The new name, "DM Review 100", more accurately represents DM Review's mission and the vendors that are meeting the business-intelligence needs of DM Review readers.

The complete list of companies is available on the magazine's Web site at www.dmreview.com/awards/top100.
