Fiduciary Trust Company Selects Montclair SWMontclair Financial Technology Inc (MFT) of Hoboken, New Jersey, announced that the Fiduciary Trust Company, Boston, MA, has selected MFT to provide application and data warehouse software which will allow online Internet access for its private banking and investment advisor clients, as well as for its own internal investment professionals. The MFT products selected by Fiduciary include the MFT DataWarehouse, DataLink, and InVision. "We are extremely pleased that Fiduciary has selected InVision as the inquiry and reporting front end to its SunGard Global Plus accounting system," said Tom Charlton, MFT's president. "While MFT's products are designed to inter-operate with any proprietary or vendor back office accounting system, Fiduciary represents our third SunGard customer, and hopefully more will follow. This selection is yet another indication that investment managers and institutional custodians have recognized InVision's unique design, flexibility, and ease-of-use. Our goal is to implement InVision quickly and without disruption to the Fiduciary organization, while at the same time providing a comprehensive data warehouse infrastructure, upon which Fiduciary can deploy a broad range of other integrated investment management software in the future." MFT's DataWarehouse will be utilized by Fiduciary to consolidate information from the SunGard's Global Plus multicurrency accounting system, as well as from other internal and external information sources over time. The DataWarehouse will be the central repository of customer information, including portfolio positions, lots, transactions, securities, prices, corporate action information, etc. Once consolidated on the MFT DataWarehouse, Fiduciary's clients will access their portfolio information via the Internet through MFT's InVision product. "The MFT products make it possible for Fiduciary to provide Internet-based client access in a quick and cost effective manner," comments Douglas R. Smith-Petersen, Fiduciary's vice president & Chief Operating Officer. "Competitively, InVision also allows for very sophisticated and dynamic portfolio inquiry and analysis over the Web, which will enable us to selectively customize our client offerings. The MFT team not only understands technology, but also has a true appreciation for the investment and securities business, and that is a real plus for us." MFT's first product, its Windows-based Investor Workstation (IVW), was announced in late 1995 and is now in its fifth release. Since then, MFT has delivered to the market place a complete suite of complementary application products, including Global Performance Measurement, InVision, DataLink, and its newest offering, a "rules-based" Compliance Monitor module. MFT's next product offering (scheduled for year-end 2000) is a fully integrated portfolio analysis and decision support component. MFT's technical architecture is multi-tiered, COM object-based, and utilizes modern relational technology running under Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or Sybase.
